Specifying Compiler Mode Settings



To specify Compiler mode settings:

NOTE You can also specify many of these Compiler settings with the Compiler Settings wizard.
  1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

  2. If you have not already done so, specify the current Compiler settings.

  3. If you have not already done so, specify the design entity you want to compile.

  4. Choose Settings (Assignments menu).  Shortcut

  5. In the Category list, select Mode under Compiler Settings.

  6. Under Compilation speed/disk usage tradeoff, select Normal compilation/less disk space or Smart compilation/more disk space.

  7. If you want to save disk space, turn on Preserve fewer node names to save disk space.

  8. If you want to automatically route SignalProbe signals during compilation, turn on Automatically route SignalProbe signals during compilation.  Read This First  More Details

  9. If you want to modify the latest fitting results during a SignalProbe compilation, turn on Modify latest fitting results during SignalProbe compilation.

  10. If you back-annotated routing constraints for the current project into a Routing Constraints File (.rcf), specify that the Compiler use the back-annotated routing constraints during compilation by turning on Read routing constraints from the Routing Constraints File (.rcf) for routing back-annotation.

  11. Click OK.
