• Advanced Graphics Port

  • A dedicated bus for connecting the graphics adapter to system memory

• Speed up transfers between graphics adapter and system memory

• Can use memory for texture storage instead of local graphics board memory

  • Cheaper graphics board

• However, nothing will beat the performance of local graphics memory
